Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Who We Are
CareCompare.ca and its operator listing services are provided by 1572035 B.C. LTD., a British Columbia company. These terms apply when you use CareCompare.ca, claim a listing, provide listing material, or purchase a paid listing subscription.
2. Free Family Service
CareCompare is free for families. We do not charge families referral fees or commissions. Listings, guides, comparison tools, and care planning information are general information, not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Families should confirm important details directly with the relevant provider, facility, regulator, or qualified professional.
3. Listing Information
We work to keep listing information useful and current, but details such as availability, services, prices, licensing status, ratings, and contact information can change. CareCompare does not guarantee that every listing field will always be complete or current.
Operators must provide accurate information and promptly correct a material error. A person claiming or managing a listing confirms that they are authorized to act for that provider, facility, or operator.
4. Paid Listings and Independence
Paid status changes presentation only. It never changes public search order, Care Navigator results, recommendations, comparison order, care-plan order, PDF order, or AI guidance. Families see the label “Featured” for an active paid presentation.
Payment does not mean that CareCompare endorses, recommends, certifies, or guarantees an operator. The same correction, moderation, complaint, freshness, and public-interest standards apply to paid and free listings.
5. Operator Material
An operator keeps ownership of its logo, photographs, descriptions, and other material. The operator grants 1572035 B.C. LTD. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, resize, moderate, reproduce, and display that material for the listing service and related transactional communications while the material remains approved or the subscription remains active.
The operator confirms that it has the rights and permissions needed for the material it provides. CareCompare may reject, remove, or ask for changes to material that is misleading, unlawful, unsafe, inaccessible, poor quality, or inconsistent with the listing service.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- misrepresent your identity, authority, services, credentials, or affiliation;
- use CareCompare to deceive, harass, exploit, or harm another person;
- interfere with security, access controls, rate limits, or service operation;
- copy or extract the service at scale without written permission; or
- use CareCompare content or family-facing tools to create misleading paid recommendations.
7. Payments and Renewals
Paid listing subscriptions are also governed by our Payments, Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy. That policy forms part of these terms.
8. Third-Party Services
CareCompare may link to provider websites and use third-party services such as Stripe for payment processing. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. CareCompare is not responsible for a third party’s services, availability, security, or conduct.
9. Suspension and Ending Access
We may suspend or end access to operator tools or paid presentation for non-payment, inactive or unsafe listings, loss of authority, material inaccuracy, legal risk, misuse, or a serious breach of these terms. A free standard listing may remain when appropriate. Refunds, if any, follow the payment policy and applicable law.
10. Service Availability and Liability
CareCompare is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access or a particular number of views, contact actions, enquiries, customers, or business results. To the extent permitted by law, 1572035 B.C. LTD. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal information.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and will post the revised date here. A material change to a paid subscription will not apply retroactively to the current paid term. We will provide notice and obtain consent, or provide cancellation rights, where applicable law requires it.
13. Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting any non-waivable rights available under another applicable law.
