Payments, Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid CareCompare operator listing subscriptions provided by 1572035 B.C. LTD. Families do not pay to use CareCompare. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Plans and Prices

PlanMonthlyYearly
Featured$18 CAD each month$150.96 CAD each year ($12.58/month equivalent)
Premium$29 CAD each month$243.96 CAD each year ($20.33/month equivalent)

Yearly: Save ~30%

The monthly equivalent shown for a yearly plan is for comparison. A yearly subscription is charged as one yearly payment, not as twelve monthly payments. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes are added and shown before payment is confirmed.

3. When Billing Starts

Preparing a listing upgrade and receiving asset approval do not create a charge. Billing starts only after the operator chooses a plan, reviews the amount and renewal period, and confirms payment in Stripe Checkout. The paid presentation normally activates when Stripe confirms the successful payment and CareCompare confirms that the listing remains active and approved.

4. Payment Processing and Records

Stripe processes subscription payments. CareCompare does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. Stripe provides the payment receipt or invoice, and CareCompare keeps an accounting and reconciliation record containing the operator, listing, plan, dates, amounts, taxes, payment status, refunds, cancellations, and relevant Stripe reference identifiers.

5. Automatic Renewal

Monthly subscriptions renew each month. Yearly subscriptions renew each year. The payment method on file is charged at renewal unless the subscription is cancelled before the renewal date.

For a yearly subscription, we will send a renewal notice to the billing email between 60 and 30 days before renewal. The notice will state the renewal date, renewal amount, cancellation right, and how to cancel. An operator may cancel the renewal before or after the renewal date without a cancellation fee.

6. Cancellation

An operator may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal or by emailing info@carecompare.ca. There is no cancellation fee.

  • Monthly: cancellation stops the next renewal. The paid presentation normally remains available through the current paid month.
  • Yearly before renewal: cancellation stops the upcoming renewal and creates no penalty.
  • Yearly after renewal: we will refund the unused portion of the renewed yearly term, calculated by the days remaining after the cancellation notice is received.

When paid entitlement ends, the listing returns to its eligible free presentation. Cancellation never changes public search order, recommendations, comparison order, care-plan order, or AI guidance.

7. Refunds

We provide refunds in the following situations:

  • a duplicate or incorrect charge;
  • a paid presentation that CareCompare cannot activate as agreed;
  • the unused portion of a yearly term cancelled after its renewal;
  • the unused portion of a prepaid term if CareCompare ends it without operator breach; or
  • another situation where applicable law requires a refund.

Monthly payments are not otherwise prorated after the monthly renewal. A refund is returned to the original payment method. Where a refund is required by applicable law, it will be issued without prohibited deductions and within the required period; our operating standard is within 15 days after receiving the cancellation or refund notice.

8. Failed Payments

Stripe may retry a failed payment and send billing notices. A short grace period may apply. If payment is not recovered, the paid presentation expires automatically and the listing returns to its eligible free presentation. CareCompare does not sell or treat contact actions as billable leads.

9. Price or Contract Changes

A price change does not alter the current prepaid term. Before a material change takes effect at renewal, we will provide clear notice to the billing email and any cancellation rights required by law. We will obtain express consent where applicable law requires it.

10. Statutory Rights

Operator listing subscriptions are normally purchased for business purposes. Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot be waived under the laws that apply to a particular transaction. If this policy provides greater cancellation or refund protection, the more protective CareCompare term applies.

11. Contact and Refund Requests

Email cancellation, billing, or refund requests to info@carecompare.ca. Include the operator name and listing name, but never email a full payment-card number or card security code.
