Yes. The Red Cross Medical Equipment Loan Program and local community health centres offer free short-term loans of wheelchairs, walkers, bath seats, and other equipment. Some require a deposit.
Does BC cover the cost of mobility aids?
BC's PharmaCare Plan P covers some medical equipment for eligible residents. Veterans Affairs, ICBC, and WorkSafeBC may also cover equipment costs depending on your situation.
