Financial Assistance for Senior Care in BC
7 resources listed
The cost of senior care in BC varies depending on the type of care, level of support, and whether a facility is publicly funded or private. Many families don't realize how many financial programs are available to help.
In publicly funded care, your monthly rate is based on your after-tax income. The BC government also offers pharmaceutical coverage, equipment subsidies, and income supplements designed specifically for seniors.
Federal programs like Old Age Security (OAS) and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) provide a baseline, while provincial programs add extra support on top.
