The RPRC is a coalition of Richmond residents and agencies working together to reduce poverty and the impacts of poverty with research, projects, and public education. The Coalition meets on the first Thursday of the month September to June from 4:30pm to 6:00pm by Zoom or at Richmond Caring Place (7000 Minoru Blvd, Richmond). Kelly Greene, the MLA for Richmond-Steveston, serves as Minister for Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.  Kelly is the founder of Richmond’s PRIDE Walk held at the end of July each year.  Previously Kelly was Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries and Aquaculture and was elected to Richmond City Council in 2018. On council she worked to preserve Richmond's farmland and protect the local environment. Before being elected, Kelly co-founded an advocacy group to keep Richmond's public schools open, funded, and safe, and was successful in achieving those goals
