About
Located in the heart of Steveston Village, the Steveston Museum building housed the area's first bank, built in 1905. In 1979 it re-opened as the Steveston Museum and Post Office and continues offering exceptional postal services to locals and visitors. In 2010, the Japanese Fishermen's Benevolent Society building was moved behind the Steveston Museum from its original location on No. 1 Road and Chatham Street. Today, visitors can discover the contributions made by the Japanese Canadian community to Steveston, through its exhibits. Enjoy Town Square Park next to the museum, a tranquil place landscaped with British and Japanese garden elements. Check website for opening hours and updates
